Harcourt (Secretary of State for the Colonies), Sir Joseph Ward, Sir W. Buchanan, Mr Holman (New South Wales At-torney-General), and Viscount Knutsford (ex-Secretary of State for the Colonies).
Colonel the Rt. Hon. Mr Seely (secretary of State for War) presided, and emphasised New Zealand s pioneer work in connection with Imperial defence.
Mr Alien said New Zealand would not long be satisfied with representation merely of an advisory nature.
