TENNIS, STRATFORD v. NEW PLYMOUTH. An excellent day’s sport was obtained at the Stratford Tennis Club’s courts yesterday afternoon, when a team from the'New Plymouth Lawn Tennis Club tried conclusions with the local club. Notwithstanding the fact that Stratford were better represented in this match than they were at New Plymouth, they went down by a bigger margin this time, the scores being 192 to 142. Afternoon tea was provided by the ladies, and a most enjoyable afternoon was spent. Scores: Men’s Singles.—Anderson 4 v. Web ster 12; Cameron 9 v. E. W. Griffiths 12; Crawshaw 12 v. E.
