FLOODS AT BAFFLE CREEK.
DESTROY ST'GAR CANE CROPS. (Received 9.10 n.m.) Brisbane, January 2-b The German sugar cane growers at Baffle Creek are heavy losers owing to floods. It rained for 18 hours so fiercely that it was impossible to roe ahead at midday for more than a few yards. Twenty mile; of country were inundated, ’ and 5000 craps were destroyed.
