NORTHERN COLLIERIES DISPUTE. (Received 9.10 a.m.) Sydney, January 29. The Northern Colliery proprietors adhere to their decision not to grant a conference of the miners until the Bunvood mine resumes work. The Employees Federation declare that the stipulation produced a serious deadlock sorneAvhat similar to the position prior to the 1909 strike. The miners desire the re-establishment of a joint conciliation committee from Avhich the proprietors AvithdrcAv because fortyfour stoppages had occurred in eight months. The President of the Collie y Employees’ Federation points out that half of these Avere due to non-observ-ance of the awards of the committee. The men are oppo-ed to tlm setting up of a Avages board to deal Avith the dispute.
