FIRES.
NOTHING WAS SAVED. (Per Press Association.) Carterton, January 28. Tliere was a fire at Carrington Settlement last night at 9.30. It destroyed a house owned and occupied by G. E. Allen, who with his wife escaped only in their night attire. Nothing was saved.
