Newton King’s Stratford Weekly Report. At my haymarkct on Saturday last there was a moderate yarding of pigs, prices ruling being about par with last sale. I quote: Slips and weaners 8s Gd to lie Gd, small stores £1 to £1 ss, medium do., up to £1 15s, sows £2, hacks £5, gigs £lO. At the mart.—Poultry: hens Is Id to Is 3d, roosters Is 3d, hen and chicks 3s 6d to ss, potatoes KKs cwt, onions 10s Gd cwt; fruit: apples 2s 6d to 5s Gd, plums Is 9d to 4s, peaches 3s 9d to 4s 3d, tomatoes 4s to Gs, nectarines ds, according to size of case and quality.
