ABOUT A MAN AND A DOG. (Per Press Association.) Dunedin, January 28. The charge against Robert Vincent of having tortured a, dog was dismissed. He sustained a fall from a cycle through th e dog, and afterwaids hacked its throat with a penknife and let it escape. The medical evidence was that after concussion of the brain a man might not know what he was doing, and the Magistrate held that the act was not committed mens lea.
