THE TERRITORIALS.

“OUR REGIMENT.” The production of “Our Regiment” is being eagerly looked forward to by many, and the rehearsals, which are now in full swing, give promise of a delightful entertainment. It should be stated that the play is being staged primarily for the establishment of a fund to enable 'the Xlth Regiment to purchase the necessary equipment to lay the foundations for proper regimental sports. Captain Dampen is a keen crusader on behalf of the physical development of the Territorials, and in giving up his spare time to the production of “Our Regiment” is showing his devotion in something more than words. It is intended to stage “Our Regiment” first at the Stratford Town Hall, and then, later, at New Plymouth, Hawera, Eltham, and other towns where companies of the Xlth Regiment hold their headquarters. If any local movement over deserved warm support it is certainly this one, for it indirectly affects and benefits everybody. THE MILITARY TOURNAMENT. Training is to shortly commence for a team of ton or twelve members of H Company who will go to Christchurch to compete against all-comers at the big military tournament to he held at Christmas. New Plymouth is sending a team, and it is probable that the various other companies of the Xlth Regiment will he doing likewise.
