Sydney, October 7. A boat containing a picnic party of ten capsized in the harbour while they were changing places. A gathering of many thousands, organised by the Citizens’ Committee as a protest against the Government’s. action over Government House, farewelled the Denmans at the station. The Lord Mayor read an address of profound regret and indignation at the series of events which had culminated in their departure without any definite announcement of their return'. He declared that the action of the Government was condemned by an overwhelming majority of the people.
