Dvinedin,', September 30. , The oversea shipping companies have increased freightage on grain 5s per ton, thus making the rate Sor wheat and oats 30s per ton. The new scale remains in force till the end of the season. It is stated that 'the increase is due to the exceptional demand for colonial grain from Home, where bad weather affected the crop. The rates on frrv/.on meat and dairy produce is not affected, having been fixed by eon- | tract.
