STOCK-OWNERS' TROUBLES
1 (United Press Association.) "Wellington, September 30. A deputation waited on the Premier to-day with reference to the question Of working up a trade in the exporting : ,of stock, and to point out the present difficulties in the' matter of importation. The deputation explained difficulties experienced in bringing stock from England to New Zealand, nndyin exporting stud animals from the'tDominion to South American and Falkland Islands, owing to the excessive' freight charges. It was stated that several weafihyv owners of racehorses in South America would short-] ly arrive in New. Zealand in search of stock/and it "was suggested that a conference might be arranged with a view to obtaining better terms from the shipping companies. The Premier promised to go carefully into the matter and to enquire whether the desired conference could be arranged. /
