Results:— Tradesmen's Handicap.—Sir Artegal 1, Monoplane 2, Sea Elf 3. Scratched: Miss Winsome, Flying Soult, Waiotahi, and Airsome. Sir Artegal led all the way, winning by a length. Tinie, 2min 10 2-ssec. Champagne Stakes.—Our King 1, Prince Sou-It 2, Tact 3. Scratched: Bleriot and Daybreak. Our King took charge after going half a furlong, winning by halt'a length. Time, lmin 15sec. WAIRARAPA R.C. MEETING. Featherstoh, April 6. The Wairarapa Racing Club's meeting opened to-day. Results : Trial Hack, six furlongs.—Semaphore 1, Distinction 2, Lambton 3. Scratched :Silver Fox. Won by a neck. ■Time lmin 14 4-o Sec. Te Waka Hack Welter, seven furlongs.—Toney" 1, Mediterranean 2, Glenfern 3. All started. Won by a length. Time, lmin 29 4-ssec. Easter Handicap, 1 mile and a quarter.—Sea Queen 1, Siuapis 2, Red Lupin 3. All started. Won by half a length. Time, 2min 7sec—a record for the track.
