FINE FOR STRIKING. i Par Press Association f Wellington, March 28. In the Magistrate’s Court to-day the Wellington Tramway Union was proceeded against for a penalty of £2OO in connection with the recent strike. Dr. McArthur,, in giving judgment, said the offence’ committed was a very serious one. A case of a similar kind in connection with the Merchant Service Guild had come under his notice and without going igto the merits of this case he thought 'that if he treated the 1 Tra'ihwiy Union in the same way he would be getting as near the ends of justice as he possibly could. The Union, wo,uld be fined £IOO.
