NOTES AND MEMORANDA.

To-morrow Mr. Newton King’s usual weekly Haymarket and Mart sales takes place. Mr. T. Lamason sells poultry, vegetables, fruit, and furniture at his rooms to-morrow.

It is not Mr. Lowers’ custom to commence a sale so early in the season, but on account of being overstocked by £2OOO lie lias decided to quit the goods by having a great bargain sale, starting Saturday March. 30, not only offering £2OOO worth, but all the general stock as well. x On Wednesday, April 3rd, Messrs. Young, Hobbs-and Co. hold a sheep and cattle sale at Strathmore.

On Tuesday, April 2nd, Mr. Newton King sells 600 head of mixed cat 7 tic at the Stratford yards. The secretary of the Stratford Hospital Board invites tenders for twelve months’ supplies of groceries, bread, meat, milk, and undertaking.
