ACCIDENTS & FATALITIES.

(Per Press Association/? Grcymouth, August 3. A fatal accident occurred at the State coal mine this afternoon. Thomas McGahan, aged 32, single, was killed by a fall of coal. Deceased had worked for three years in the mine, and came from Queensland. Auckland, August 4. A child twenty months old, daughter of Mr. C. Lloyd, was playing with a young brother on a swing at Karangahake, and in tho temporary absence of tho latter the child was caught in the rope and strangled.
