OTAUTAU SPRING SHOW

The annual spring show and sale of work of the Otautau Methodist Church was held in the Otautau Town HaU. In officially declaring the show open the chairman of the Town Board. Mr A- A. Liddell, congratulated the exhibitors on the excellent display of flowers. Mr T. J. Meadows, the judge, said he had never seen better quality blooms on the tables all the time he had been judging in Otautau. Some leading varieties and good blooms were seen in the daffodil section, and considering the lateness of the season they made quite a good display. In the cut flowers the poppies were outstanding and the tulips were especially good. Taken all over it was a first-class exhibition. The champion bloom, a barii (Mrs Barclay) was exhibited by Mrs McFadgen. Following were the winners of the most joints prizes;—Daffodils, Mrs W. R. Ayson
