POSTMEN’S DRIVE. — The postmen's drive for the all purposes patriotic appeal held in Dunedin on Saturday realized over £l3OO, all being silver pieces.—P.A. DONATION TO PATRIOTIC FUND.—A donation of £lOO to the Southland Provincial Patriotic Fund has been received by the honorary treasurer, Mr W. F. Sturman, from J. E. Watson and Company, Ltd. NATIONAL SAVINGS.— During the next five weeks a "spring offensive” is to be carried on by radio, newspaper advertising, circular and poster with a view to obtaining additional National Savings accounts and to increasing the deposits to existing accounts. By July 31 a sum of £8,200,000 had been raised throughout the Dominion In the National Savings campaign, which began in October 1940. Between April 1 and June 23 this year a sum of £1,556,440 was received towards the total aimed at for the current financial year, £5,000,000.
