The amount so far received in response to the appeal for funds made by the Southland Branch of the New Zealand Crippled Children Society is £Bl3/10/-. This includes £32 from a street day conducted by the ladies assisting the society at Bluff and £52 from a similar effort at Riverton. The president of the branch, Mr V. J. He wished to acknowedge two contributions, one of £1 from “S.M.” and another of £5 from “Wellwisher” for which it had not been possible to give receipts as no addresses were supplied.
