M.M.—The broadcast is given by an announcer in a Wellington studio. The commentary which follows is a recording of a 8.8. C. talk. WORRIED—The wife is entitled to the following weekly allowances:— Separation £l/1/-, for child (if under 16) 10/6, domestic 10/6. In addition she is entitled to an allotment of at least 4/6 a day or £l/11/6 from her husband’s pay. , INTERESTED.—On April 10 the Minister of Defence stated that members of the Home Guard “who absented themselves from parades without leave were liable to prosecution.”
