WASTE PAPER DEPOT

Good supplies of waste paper have been received at the depot in Esk street since it was opened, but those who have paper to send in need not delay in doing so, stated Mr J. Pickard, chairman of the Southland Committee for the Reclamation of Waste Material, on Saturday. Mr Pickard added that when the work of sorting began at the depot there was a large accumulation of waste paper, but now this had all been dealt with, and so, even if the sorters were unable to keep pace with the quantities received, there was ample room for storage.
