Fair To Cloudy (Special) Wellington, August 26. Following is the special weather forecast for Southland, issued by the Meteorological Office, Wellington:— Moderate to fresh north-easterly winds. The weather fair to cloudy; temperatures cold. The weather in Invercargill yesterday was cold and overcast with an easterly wind throughout the day. At 1 o'clock this morning the weather was clear and frosty with a light easterly breeze. The barometer reading was 30.01 in. (falling). THE TIDES.— High water, Invercargill, 3.30 a.m., 3.53 p.m.; Bluff, 2.49 a.m., 3.12 p.m.; Riverton, 1.49 a.m., 2.12 p.m.; Oreii Beach, 1.58 a.m.. 2.21 p.m. THE SUN Rises 7.28 a.m.; sets G.lO pan.
