(P.A.) WELLINGTON, August 26. Superintendent Captain Mortiz M. Vaumund, of the Norwegian Shipping and Trade Mission, has arrived in Wellington. He is making his headquarters in the office of the Norwegian Consul. The mission already has branches In London, New York and Australia. He is accompanied by Captain M. H. Thoresen, of the Royal Norwegian Navy. He says his presence will not affect trade to any extent or increase the number of Norwegian ships visiting New Zealand, but the need for a branch here has been realized, both in the matter of repairs and seeing to the welfare of crews of Norwegian vessels. Until recently Captain Vaumund commanded a Norwegian ship in the United Nations service.
