WEDNESDAY (Before Mr R. C. Abernethy, S.M.) For driving a motor-vehicle with unrestricted lights, Verdun Grenfell was fined £2, costs 10/-, and Samuel Whitaker'was fined £l, costs 10/-. For riding a bicycle on a footpath, John Henderson was fined 5/-, costs 10/-. For riding bicycles without lights, Andrew ■Toshach was convicted and ordered to pay costs 10/- and Andrew J. Campbell was convicted and ordered to pay costs 10/-. For carrying a person on a bicycle Andrew J. Campbell was convicted and ordered to pay costs 10/-. For operating motor-cars without warrants of fitness, Samuel L. Nicholson was fined £l/10/-, costs 12/-, and James E. Young was fined 5/-, costs 10/-. For riding a bicycle not equipped with a rear reflector, Magnus Spence was ordered to pay costs 10/- and for riding at night without a light he was fined 10/-, costs 10/-. For having an unlicensed wireless set, Maureen Dowling was fined 5/-, costs 10/-. Robert William Thompson, of Grove Bush (Mr G. J. Reed), was convicted and ordered to pay costs on charges of having insufficient lights on his car, for failing to give way to traffic on his right and for having no warrant of fitness. Cyril Douglas Wilkinson (Mr T. V. Mahoney) pleaded guilty to charges of theft of two gallons of petrol and to a breach of the rental car regulations. He was fined £l/10/- on each charge.
