CHILDREN RETURNING FROM HEALTH CAMP
Southland children now in residence at the King George V Memorial Health Camp at Roxburgh will return to their homes by the train arriving in Invercargill at 1.10 p.m. on Thursday. Reports received from the matron yesterday were that the children were all in good health and had made good progress. Senior children had gained as much as 151 b, 111 b and 101 b in weight and juniors up to 61b and 81b during their stay in the camp. The children for the fourth camp will leave Invercargill by the 1.25 p.m. train on Friday and will be joined by others from Woodlands, Edendale and Gore en route. Those from Invercargill and the Western District are to report to the school medical officer, Post Office building, at 10 a.m. that day for medical examination. The children are reminded to bring their school books and ration cards with them to camp. A member of the camp staff will be in charge of the children both ways.
