(Special to The Times) OAMARU, September 27. The annual race meeting of the Kurow Jockey Club will be held on the Oamaru racecourse tomorrow, the change being allowed because the club’s totalizator house was destroyed by fire some -months ago. ■Light rain fell here today, but it will not affect the track to any extent and the going will be fast. The win-and-place system of betting will be in use.

TRENTHAM MEETING TO BE HELD

COURSE NOT TO BE USED BY ARMY AUTHORITIES (United Press Association) WELLINGTON, September 27. It was officially announced after a conference today that the spring meeting at Trentham on the scheduled dates, October 24, 26 and 28 will definitely be held. The course and appointments will not be used by the military authorities during the meeting and for the essentially necessary time before the meeting.
