RENEWAL OF GOODS LICENCES
SITTING OF TRANSPORT AUTHORITY The sitting of the No. 4 Transport Licensing Authority (Mr S. V. Raines) was continued in Invercargill yesterday. Mr K. Davies represented the Transport Department, and Mr F. G. Craig the Railways Department. Mr G. E. T. Dorman, representing the Southland District Motor Transport Association, was also present. The following goods service licences were renewed:—L. C. Allott (Invercargill), C. A. Bone (Invercargill), A. W. Blakie (Invercargill), D. Burgess (West Plains), M. V. B. Craig (Bluff), Farmers’ Dairy Federation Ltd. (Invercargill), J. L. Hardy (Invercargill), W. P. Hogan (Makarewa), Lock Brothers (Invercargill), H. C. MacKenzie (Invercargill), J. A. Mcßae (Makarewa), A. Moir (Invercargill), J- C; and D. D.
Oates (Greenhills), J. Paskell (Otatara), The Southland Times Co., Ltd., Invercargill (six services). Sun Transport Ltd. (Wellington), F. Withington and Sons (Invercargill).
The application by J. T. Agnew, of Invercargill, for renewal of a goods service licence was adjourned. Decision was reserved on the application by A. C. N. Andersen, of Bluff, for renewal of a goods.-service licence. The application by W. E. Beckham, of Invercargill, for renewal of a goods service licence was granted and the licence was transferred to Cruickshank and Ward.
