GERMAN MEASLES AT BURNHAM

MOBILIZATION NOT TO BE AFFECTED (United Press Association) CHRISTCHURCH, September 24. An outbreak of mild German measles has been reported officially at Burnham mobilization camp. A few cases have occurred among the territorial units, but the majority of cases, which do not exceed 20, have been reported in the district school for non-commissioned officers.

It is not expected that the infection will cause a further suspension in the calling up of the 4th Reinforcements of the Expeditionary Force and it was stated today that mobilization would proceed on October 2. It is not proposed to evacuate the patients from camp so long as requirements can be met by the accommodation available at the camp hospital.
