CHILDREN’S COURT
SIX BOYS CHARGED WITH THEFT
A sitting of the Children’s Court was held in Invercargill yesterday before the Magistrate (Mr R. C. Abernethy). Six boys appeared on various charges of theft, including the theft of skins, money, bicycles and bicycle accessories. .
One boy was convicted and ordered to come up for sentence if called upon within 12 months.
The other five were placed under the supervision of the child welfare officer for varying periods of frorn one to two years. In all cases orders were made for restitution of the stolen property.
