EDENDALE
MEETING OF TOWN BOARD At the monthly meeting of the Edendale Town Board the following members were present: Commissioners W. Irvine (chairman), T. K. Hickey, M. Turner, W. W. Chaplin, P. V. Botting and J. Morris. Cr Hickey suggested that the board should consider making some skeleton scheme for emergency precautions. It was decided thaj the board form itself into an emergency committee with power to add. The hall hiring fees for the month totalled £lO/3/6. It was decided to put a man on at the cemetery to clean up the grounds. At the request of the district inspector of stock it was decided to put a man on to poison at the Kamahi scenic reserve. RAINFALL FOR MONTH
The rainfall for the month of August, taken at Dairy Products Ltd., Edendale, was as follows: —August 13, .155 in August 14, ,22in, August 15, .015 in August 16, .185 in August 17, .05in, August 18, .04in, August 19, .06in, August 21, ,38in, August 22, .48in, August 26, .21in, August 27, .005 in a total of 1.800 inches.
