BOWLERS’ SOCIAL EVENINGS

CHAMPIONSHIP EVENTS ON SEPTEMBER 25

Following are the results of the latest round of games in the bowlers’ social evenings competition for the S. C. K. Smith Shield:— Waihopai 5 beat Southland 1; R.S.A, 4 beat Northend 2; Waihopai 5 beat Invercargill 1. The position of teams is as follows: R.S.A. 35 points, Waihopai 30, Te Rangi 23, Invercargill 23, Georgetown 22, Northend 21, Southland 20. Te Rangi has two matches and Southland one match to play. The committee has received entries from seven clubs for the championships in billiards and snooker to be played on September 25. All of the profits will be handed over to the Patriotic Fund.
