(Per United Fre«a Association.) Christchurch, May 31. The customs revenue collected at Christchurch during May amounted to £86,379, a decrease of £3,175 on the amount collected in May 1929. Beer duty collected was £6701, an increase of £ll7 on the amount for last May; petrol tax, May 1930 £13,044, May 1929 £18,684; tyre duty £1,463 compared with £1,271. WELLINGTON RETURNS. Wellington, May 31. The Wellington Customs figures for May amount to £262,952 against £236,296 for May last year, an increase of £26,656. Beer duties amount to £3,843 compared with £3634 last year, an increase of £209. FIGURES FOR DUNEDIN. Dunedin, May 31. The Customs receipts at the Dunedin office for the month"ending to-day were:— Customs duty, £60,898 9/6; beer duty, £17,550 13/6; tyre tax, £BB3 7A; petrol tax £10,143 19/-, The figures for May of last year were: —Customs duty, £62,729 7/10; beer duty, £16,537 9/2; tyre tax, £1,260 0/4;' petrol tax, £5,102 9/4.
