SALE OF RESTAURANT
EXPLANATION SOUGHT FROM BANKRUPT.
(Per United Press Association.)
Wellington, May 30.
Facts regarding the sale of a restaurant by Velimir Bingula, bankrupt, were not made sufficiently clear to satisfy the creditors at an adjourned meeting in Bingula’s estate and a resolution was passed that the Official Assignee (Mr S. Tansley) should take such steps as he thinks fit to have persons who can give evidence concerning the sale of bankrupt’s business examined before a Magistrate under Section 92 of the Act. The deed stated that the business was sold for £l5O, but evidence taken yesterday was to the effect that the real price was £350. It was alleged that money changed hands after the transfer. A further motion opposing bankrupt’s discharge until 15/- in the £1 had been paid was carried unanimously.
