AID FOR UNEMPLOYED
LOAN PROPOSAL NOT CARRIED. (Per United Press Association.) Dunedin, May 30. A poll on a proposal by the Dunedin City Council to raise a loan of £20,000 for the purpose of providing work for the relief of unemployed was taken to-day. The ratepayers showed little interest as out of 21,000 ratepayers entitled to vote only 2,807 exercised the privilege. The voting was: For the proposal 947; against 1,816; informal 36. I
