WINTON COLLIE CLUB

MEETING OF COMMITTEE. A meeting of the committee of the Winton Collie Dog Trials Club was held on Tuesday evening. The president, Mr G. King, presided. It was decided to write to Mr Prendagast and thank him for the services he rendered as judge at the recent trials and also to forward him £2 2/- for such services. It was decided to vote the honorary secretary £2 2/- for his services. It was decided to hold the annual meeting on the second Tuesday in February, 1931. Donations of £2 had been given to the club for the purchase of miniature cups in connection with Mrs Olive’s cup, and it was left in the hands of the secretary to purchase four miniature cups. It was decided that two cups be purchased in connection with Mr M. J. Forde’s cup. Mr A. Baird suggested that the Winton Collie Club communicate with all other dog trial clubs of Southland and,,ask them to appoint a delegate and invite their judges to convene a conference to consider various matters affecting the welfare of all dog trials. The suggestion was agreed to. A number of alterations with regard to the length of time of each class were made, and these are to-be, recommended to the incoming committee.
