'juice. 3 tablespoons "High1 egg (beaten). lander” milk diluted 2 ozs. sugar. with one cup water. METHOD — Mix the flour and powder, rub in the dripping. Add sugar and currants. Mix to a stiff dough with the milk, egg and essence. Break off small pieces with a fork and place on a cold greased oven sheet. Bake in a quick oven (near the top) fifteen minutes. Preserved ginger cut up small and dates used instead of currants to the above mixture makes a good rock cake. HIGHLANDER
