SOUTHERN SHELTER SHED AGAIN.
To the Editor.
Sir, —May I trespass once again on your valuable space, just to say 1 am voicing the opinion of the South Invercargill people' who are too high-spirited as ratepayers to be forced, so to speak, to be under obligation to even a courteous storekeeper for shelter from the elements? The whole suggestion, sir, to our minds, savours ot the poor laws to which we are apparently being forced to bow but we prefer to decline. In conclusion, sir, I ever shrink from saying unduly nasty things, but as real necessity has no law I am constrained to say as a last word the apparently stubborn unwillingness on the part of our city fathers to help us is too paltry for words. It will not be forgotton at another election of city fathers.—l am, etc. T. GILLER.
