DRUNKEN MOTORIST
FOURTEEN DAYS WITH HARD LABOUR. (Per JJnited Press Association.) Ashburton, May 23. John Crowe was sentenced to 11 hard labour and his license was suspended for three years for being intoxicated while in charge of a car. . x The police stated that while in Tinwald, the defendant’s car came in contact with a perambulator containing a child, which was slightly injured, and the following day the car was found badly smashed on the road at Lismore, defendant being intoxicated with liquor in the car.
