VAGRANT VERSE

ADORATION. (Written for the Southland Times.) The moon floats over the silence, water-rimmed, its milky cobweb breath trails through the night, bespangled, as if a voiceless universe were glad to nurture it. The land slips into the sea, like cradled peace in a confiding hand. The harmony between this earth and me, is no less vital than, this moon and Thee, and I, contented, glow beneath. Thy charity. xxi'ist, - —Bruanhilde, Invercargill, May 23, 1930.
