COMPENSATION CLAIM

RESULT OF ACCIDENT. SUM OF £B6O AWARDED. (Per United Press Association.) Auckland, May 21. Damages amounting to £B6O in compensation for injuries sustained as the result of a motor accident at Point Chevalier on July 10, 1928, were awarded by the jury in the Supreme Court to Robert James Paul, labourer of New Lynn, against the Auckland City Council. Plaintiff alleged careless and negligent driving on the part of the motorman of a municipal bus. The sum of £l5O was claimed for medical expenses, £2lO for loss of wages, and £5OO general damages. Plaintiff sustained injuries as the result of a collision between his motor cycle and a municipal bus.
