A FATAL AFFRAY
WATERSIDE WORKER’S DEATH. (Per United Press Association.) AUCKLAND, Juno 11. At an inquest into the death of David John Stanley, a waterside worker, who was injured in a fracas on the Central Wharf on April 10, and who died in hospital on May 14, it was stated that deceased was struck on the head by a sailor of foreign nationality, who was seen standing over deceased, who was prostrate. Deceased stated that he had been struck on the head with a Iwittle. A verdict was returned that Stanley died as the result of an abscess on the brain, the result of a blow from a man who has not .been identified.
