THE PREMIERS’ CONFERENCE,
IMMIGRATION POLICY. (By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright.) (Australian and N.Z. Cable Associat on.) MELBOURNE, May 25. The Premiers’ Conference has adopted immigration proposals providing for Commonwealth control of all overseas organisation, transport, and financial arrangements. Preference will be given to ex-service men, and the States will he responsible for the immigrants after arrival. NEW SOUTH WALES BUTTER POOL. THE PRICE INCREASED. SYDNEY, May 25. The pool has increased butter 3d per lb, and is resorting to cold storage of stocks. The inter state position is bad, and some are seeking assistance from New South Wales.
