Japanese and American bankers h&vv signed the consortium agreement. The Foreign Office has issued a statement in which it is announced that when thro# other Governments, namely, Britain, Francs and the United States, assure Japan that they do not contemplate any acts mimical to Japan’s vital interests, but are ready t« give sufficient assurances safeguarding them, Japan will confirm the consortium agreement reached at Paris.
