THE HOUSING PROBLEM
GOVERNMENT ACTIVITY. ADDITIONAL DWELLINGS AUTHORISED. (Per United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, May 10. The Cabinet agreed to-day to the erection by the Government of 500 houses during the present financial year. Mr Massey stated that this number would be in addition to those already mentioned as having been authorised. Some 200 houses under previous authorisations were already arranged for or were actually under construction.
