Messrs Wright, Stephenson, and Co. report, for the week ending October 26th, as foUows : — - 'Fat Cattle. — 75 head were yarded, a number in excess of the requirements of the trade, and priceß ruled a shade lower in consequence. Our •ales consisted of 34 head at from £7 to £13 10s for bullocks, and £9 2s 6d for cows — equal to 28s per lOOlbs for prime quality, and 22s for middling do. Fat Sheep.^An unusually large supply came forward, 1250 being penned. We sold 130 crossbreds at 18s *Sd ; 197 merino wethers, good .. quality, at 14s 43d ; and 100, middling qualify, at 12s. The balance were turned obt. We quote

prime .n-jhty cross-breds, 4il per lo ; do merinos, 3fd. Store Oattle.— There is a good enquiry for this class of stock. We quote bullocks, 3to 5 years, £3 5s to £4 ; mixed herds, 45s to 50s. Store Sheep. —Transactions are very limited, owing to shearing being so close at hand. We sold 800 half and three-quarter bred lambs for delivery in February, at 10s each. Horses.— ln the absence of the arrival of fresh lots, not much business has been done. There is, however, a good demand for young draughts and coaching horses of the right stamp. We quote firafc-elaes draughts-, £45 to £50 ; medium do, £25 to £30 ; good hacks and light harness horses, £25 to £30 ; medium do, £10 to £12 ; light and inferior, £5 to £6. T Wool, Ac— At our weekly sale, on Wednesday, there was an excellent attendance, and all the lots offered— comprising 1400 sheepskins and hideswere disposed of at very full rates, as follows :— Merino station skins, 2s Ud-to 5s Id each ; do green do, 6s to 6s 2d ; half-bred station do, 9s ; do green do, 9s to 10s. Hides, inferior, 14s each. Grain.— Wheat is In fair demand, and good samples are saleable at 5s 3d per bushel. Oats are in request at 2s to 2s Id for feed, and 2a 2d to 2s 3d for milling qualities.
