It is rumored that the recent visit of Queen Victoria to the Continent was for the purpose of arranging a marriage between the Duke of Edinburgh and Princess Mary, daughter of Prince Frederick Charles of Prussia. Sebastopol is rapidly rising from its ruins. A powerful Black Sea fleet is in course of construction.
