London, June 19. The money market turned its lowest point last week. The stock markets, on the whole, are firm ; the recent rise has induced holders to realise. The board of trade returns for April show an increase of £770,244 compared with the corresponding month of last year. On June 18th, the rate of discount in the open market, was for the best short bills, one and a-half per cent. There was a fair enquiry, and some expectation that the Bank rate would be lowered from two to one-a-nda-half per cent.
