COMMERCIAL INTELLIGENCE.
Times Office, j Tuesday Evening. The Daily Times, 28th. December, gives the following commercial intelligence : — Messrs Potter, Wilson and Co. of London, report, tinder date November Ist, that since the close of the public ■wool sales on 25th ult., there have been few transactions in this market, but prires h'Bve been fully maintained. The next series of sales is fixed to commence on 15th pros., with about 60,000 bales, of which fully half will be from the Cape. Accounts from the manufacturing districts are good, and there seems every appearance of money getting cheaper and more abundant, so that we expect prices will rule firm, especially for good Australian and New Zealand clips, which will be scarce ; the only unfavorable feature being the gradual rise in the grain market, both here and abroad.
