Southland Times. Office, Thursday Evening. There has been no improvements in business during the week. Flour, best Adelaide, remains at £25, for small lots ; in quantity it can be purchased at about £23 10s. The demand for oats has not been so brisk, a first-class sample is not worth more than 4s 6d to 4s 9d. Bran — none in the market. Hay, £5 10s to £6 per ton. Chaff, £7 to £S per ton. Hams and bacon still scarce ; good colonial, Is 6d per lb. Colonial cheese, Is 6d per lb. Potatoes, £1 to £8 per ton. Groceries and oilmens' stores are in fair demand. Spirit 3 are dull of sale. Wines, and Marte and Hennessy's brandy, 9s 6d per gallon ; other good brands, 9s. .Bottled porter, scarce at 14s per dozen. Cartage to the Lake, £14 per ton.
