The arrivals at the Heads comprise the Regina and Mornington, from London, and the Sarah Ann, from Liverpool. The Lightning, from Liverpool, was telegraphed off the Ofcway ast one p.m., eighty-three days out. She is- reported to have a slnpment of wheat on board of some considerable extent. The amount of wharfage rates collected during the week ending on Satuntav last, was £1,117." Messrs. Baillie and Butters reported the Otago Government debentures-, 8 per cents., at £107. The Argus of the previous day says : — " Business was again exceedingly quiet to-day, and no transactions of any amount have been reported. The flour market continues to improve in tone, although prices have not advanced. The best qualities of Adelaide changed hands freely at from £22 to £22 10s., for cash, or on short terms. Holders of Chilian stand out for £20 ; but buyers cotne forward unwillingly, and only for immediate requirements. Malt is very dull. There are inquiries for it ; but the prices offered are very low. The sales by auction were unimportant, and not of a character to influence prices. Among the arrivals to-day was the ship Golden Land, from London, after a passage of 118 days. Two ships, inward bound, were off the Ohvay at three p.m. Their names were not signalled. The arrivals also included the barque Thomas Baniield, from the Mauritius, with sugar."
