The Launceston Exatniner of 16th. instant, re ports : — Flour and wheat have gained additional firmness, though, no advance in price has, we believe, taken place in the former, a large parcel of which was quitted yesterday at £24. lit wheat, however, sales at 10s. 3d. were made yesterday, and there is every probability that unless heavy shipments are made from America to the colonies, holders wiU obtain still higher prices, as stocks here are not, it is said, over large. Oats, 3s. Bd. to 3s. lOd. for feed, and ss. for seed. Potatoes, £4 10s. bags in. Butter dull at S£d. The same journal of 19th reports the state of the wheat and flour market as follows : — "We have no alteration to report in the flour and wheat market. Few transactions have taken placg, and flour remains at £24. "Wheat is quoted* U&, 3d., but we believe there is no good sample obtainable at a lower figure than 10s. 6d. The Swordfish is shipping a quantity of wheat for Hobart Town." The Sobart Town Mercury of the 18th says : — "Business during the day has been dull, and we have no transactions . of importance to report. Prices continue as under : — Flour, £25 to £26 per ton ; wheat, 11s. 6d. to lls. 9d. per bushel ; bran, Is. 6d. per bushel ; sharps, £12 per ton ; potatoes, £4 ss. per ton ; onions £9 to £10 per ton."
